Endowment Fund

The endowment fund was established to attract substantial contributions that will be put into a special account. A policy was established that the principle of these funds shall never be touched, and the interest only will be used to support educational activities, not operating costs. The original goal was met in 2010 and the board of trustees shall ensure that the fund is used for Project Grants and educational offerings to practicing foresters.

Education Programs/Scholarship Fund

In addition to the Endowment Fund the Trustees are responsible for raising funds and distributing monies to Education Program/Scholarship Funds. Currently, PFI provides Practice of Consulting Forestry Course Scholarships, Student Scholarships, and Emerging Professionals Scholarships.

Memorial Fund

In 2018, PFI established a Memorial Fund with the passing of Eley Frazier to honor his memory. ACF donated $1,000 and membership generously gave an additional $6,600. The PFI Memorial Fund also provides a place where donations can be made to honor the memory of any member in the future. The Memorial Fund will be utilized to assist associate members with expenses to attend the ACF National Meeting and/or as further directed to meet the wishes of the donor.

Wright-Murphy Speaker Series

The purpose of WMSS is to provide funding for top tier speakers at the annual ACF National Conference to inspire others to reach their potential, enhance the profession of consulting forestry and remain aware of activities in the political arena, thereby honoring the contributions of J. Tobey Wright and Harry Murphy to ACF, PFI and the profession of forestry.
